Patient Assistance Programs (PAPs) are initiatives run by pharmaceutical manufacturers that provide medicines at
pharmaceutical manufacturers that provide medicines at free or
significantly reduced cost to patients who meet specific medical
and financial eligibility criteria.
In India, PAPs exist for oncology, HIV, hepatitis, transplant, rare
diseases, and other critical care categories. However, most patients

Who typically qualifies for PAP assistance?
PAP eligibility varies by program and manufacturer. These are the most common criteria across programs we navigate.
Patients on high-cost therapies
If your prescribed medicine costs over ₹50,000 per cycle or is classified as a specialty or biologic, PAP support is highly likely to exist.
Financial hardship criterion
Most programs assess household income relative to treatment cost. Many have broad eligibility — not just below-poverty-line patients qualify.
Valid prescription required
All PAPs require a treating oncologist's or specialist's prescription for the specified branded medicine. Doctor enrollment is a standard first step.
Indian residents & global access
Most PAPs in our network are for India-resident patients. We also assist NRI patients and facilitate international access programs where available.

ASTRAZENECA INDIA

BRISTOL MYERS SQUIBB

Our Process
We have built a structured, end-to-end process to manage PAP enrollment from first inquiry to active benefit. You do not need to call manufacturers, decode fine print, or follow up on paperwork.
Our trained PAP coordinators begin with a detailed intake call. We collect information on your diagnosis, the specific medicine prescribed, your household income context, current insurance coverage, and any prior attempts to access PAP benefits. This intake is completely confidential and takes approximately 15–20 minutes.
Based on your medicine, disease, financial situation, and geography, we identify every applicable PAP. This includes manufacturer programs, government schemes, NGO support, and healthcare loan options. We also check for combinations — you may qualify for more than one program simultaneously.
Every PAP has its own documentation checklist. We prepare a clean, customized list for you — covering patient documents, prescriber documents, income proof, and disease confirmation. Our team assists in arranging missing documents where possible, including coordinating with hospitals and treating doctors.
PAP enrollment almost always requires the treating doctor's sign-off, certification, and in some cases, hospital registration on the program. Our coordinators speak directly with the hospital's billing desk, oncology team, or program liaison on your behalf — saving you multiple follow-up visits.
We prepare and submit the complete enrollment package to the pharmaceutical company's PSP cell on your behalf. This includes filling out all forms, attaching required documents, and tracking submission acknowledgment. We have established working relationships with PSP teams at major pharma companies in India.
Enrollment is the beginning, not the end. We track your program status, communicate approvals or additional requirements, manage refill timing, and ensure you continue to receive benefits for as long as you are eligible. We also manage annual re-enrollment where programs require it.
What You'll Need
Requirements vary by program. The below covers standard documents needed across most PAPs. Our coordinator will confirm the exact list for your specific program.
Specialist prescription with patient name, diagnosis, drug name, dosage, and treating doctor's stamp and signature.
Aadhaar card, PAN, Voter ID, or Passport. Any one government-issued photo ID of the patient.
Income certificate issued by a government authority, or a self-declaration income affidavit signed on stamp paper. Some programs use soft credit check tools.
Biopsy reports, staging documents, histopathology, PET scan or CT scan reports confirming the diagnosis and biomarker profile.
Treating physician's signed certification that the patient is under active care and the prescribed therapy is medically necessary.
If the patient has health insurance, insurance policy copy and evidence of coverage gaps or denial of claim are needed.
Hospital name, treating oncologist credentials, CDSCO-registered institution details. For certain programs, hospital-level enrollment is also required.
Signed patient authorization form allowing the PAP cell to receive, use, and process protected health information for enrollment and management.
