Efavirenz is used along with other medications to treat human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infection. Efavirenz is in a class of medications called non-nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitors (NNRTIs). It works by decreasing the amount of HIV in the blood.

Indication:

• Efamat 600Mg Tablet is an antiretroviral medication, used for HIV prevention and treatment. Efamat 600Mg Tablet belongs to non-nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitors (NNRTIs) class of drugs. Efamat 600Mg Tablet is prescribed to adults and children that are at least 3 months old. Efamat 600 mg Tablet prevents the multiplication of HIV virus in human cells.

Dosage:

• Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Efamat 600 mg Tablet is to be taken empty stomach.

Warnings and Precautions:

• This medicine is not recommended for use in pregnant women or breast-feeding

Side effects:

• Common side effects of this medicine include rash, nausea, headache, feeling tired, and trouble sleeping. Other side effects include fatigue, headache, vomiting, and anorexia, dizziness and lack of concentration.
